Tour Itinerary

Day 1 – Padang → Siberut → Uma

Ferry from Padang to Siberut. Deep jungle transfer to the Uma. Traditional dinner.

Day 2 to Day 5 – Deep Mentawai Exploration

Immersive daily activities including traditional hunting, fire making, herbal medicine preparation, tattoo philosophy, visiting neighboring Umas, and experiencing the true remote lifestyle of the Mentawai tribe.

Day 6 – Farewell Ceremonies

Traditional dance and rituals. Preparation for departure. Celebration dinner.

Day 7 – Siberut → Padang

Breakfast. Trek back to the river. Transfer to harbor. Ferry to Padang.

This tour is suitable for travelers ready to step out of their comfort zone.
You will stay in local homes with simple facilities.
Conditions are not like Western standards — an open mindset is needed.
Weather is hot and humid (around 30°C).
No electricity in the forest — bring a power bank.
Respect local culture: dress modestly, cover shoulders & knees; avoid shorts or sleeveless tops.
